WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY
All we can say is WOW what a trip; it was so well organized from the moment we left KwaZulu-Natal to the moment we returned. Our airline trips were so well organized we never waited one single moment it was amazing, then being greeted on the other end and taken to PomPom the welcoming was so warm and friendly. When we arrived at the camp we knew instantly that we were going to have the best time ever as it all started with the warmest welcome with the staff singing to us then the camp manager Pat moving us to a closer unit as Chris was in agony with his legs. Our guide and tracker Thabo and Sunday were amazing as they went all out to please us and show us as much as possible and believe me they sure did.
Moving to the next camp was the best thing we did as we also got the warm welcoming and staff were amazing. I can not tell you how brilliant our guide Chris and tracker Jacob were – wow they are a gems of note and they sure did make our trip one of a lifetime. We got to see everything that we requested and more. Bundu-bashed to get to the animals so we did not miss out on really good sightings, which made it so exciting and extremely real in the bush. All I can say you really set out a trip for us and we decided that you made this trip a 10 out of 10 in comparison to our Serengeti – this was by far our trip one in a million, a big thanks go out to you and to Kirsty we most certainly will do another trip with you again.

Richard – the trip was amazing from beginning to end! As you warned, we fell in love with Africa! Everything was incredibly well organised, the guides were great, and I was able to sit back and enjoy and not worry about the details!

We just wanted to say a massive thank you for arranging what we thought was going to be a once in a lifetime safari trip … Africa has stolen our hearts and we will definitely be back!We were incredibly lucky with all the game viewing that included two separate leopard sightings, a pride of eight lions with a recent buffalo kill, another three lions, two cheetahs with a recent bush buck kill, and hyena, wild dogs and vultures with a hippo carcass, and that is only the start! All the lodges and staff were fantastic – we can’t speak highly enough of everyone and everything. We will be back in touch to book another trip through you, hopefully in the near future.Thank you so much again!
Richard, it was the best ever! The rangers were world class, the game drives and walking tours breathtaking and informative, and the food exceptional.Thank you so much for recommending Tanda Tula. We spoke with many other people during our stay and they all said the same – that Tanda Tula is the best – and so is the Timbavati!
On the first night, they prepared a private dinner on our veranda, bath tub with rose petals, champagne, the works!
Again, thank you so much for an outstanding experience

Our trip through Namibia was absolutely excellent. Everything went to plan – the accommodation, food and transport were great, the scenery and safaris were first class, and special mention has to go to the guide, Jeremia, who was exceptional!
All in all, a fabulous holiday! Thank you very much for organising it. We will certainly come back to you when we next think about coming to Africa.

The safari was amazing – probably the best holiday we’ve ever had. We saw so much, including many rare sightings such as white rhino, cheetahs, porcupine, bat-eared fox, and many wonderful birds. Our guide Sam was magnificent. His knowledge is vast and it’s obvious that he loves nature and his job. The rest of the team that looked after us was excellent, and the food fabulous. The camping itself was great and we really felt that we were guests in the animals’ home – as it should be.
The two days in Vic Falls were amazing too. The Falls themselves are mind-blowing and the dinner cruise down the Zambezi was a real joy.
An utterly amazing experience Richard so thank you for putting it all together.

We truly enjoyed our trip! We couldn ‘t have had a better safari operator and guide – he was excellent and his knowledge of the birds, animals and area was unbelievable! The care-taking and meal planning was exceptional, and nothing was too much trouble!Chobe National Park was the best animal viewing area. We probably saw 80 % of the animal types there in one and a half days, and we would’ve liked to stay there a little longer. We saw lions and leopards, and a very young elephant, which was a highlight.
Your help and advice was excellent, and we really appreciated your answering all our questions and helping make our trip so successful. If it wasn’t for the 14 hour flight , we would go again soon!

Richard, I would like to thank you very much for all of your help in organising this trip and ensuring it went smoothly. You were always available to answer queries and help me with my preparations. The wildlife was terrific, both in Namibia and in Botswana. Highlights included seeing dozens of lions, including on kills, and a close sighting of a martial eagle. I very much enjoyed the Caprivi Strip, and I enjoyed all of the tented camps we visited in Namibia with Camp Kwando and Desert Camp at Sossusvlei my particular favourites.
Botswana plugged the gaps that remained from the first tour; namely, terrific sightings of wild dogs (on two occasions we had very good sightings close to my favourite lodge of them all – Hyena Pan), leopards (which I had never seen close up before; we had good sightings of leopards on three occasions, including seeing one seemingly ambushed by elephants whilst on another occasion we saw one, very close up, at a kill). Another remarkable highlight was seeing a pair of bull elephants fighting in Chobe. That was pure theatre and felt like one of those once in a lifetime moments when you get a ringside seat at something rare and remarkable.
Next time around, and I am certain that there will be a next time, I will be looking at a more bespoke tour with my wife and it will include the lodges around Botswana.
I would not hesitate to use your services again Richard. Overall it was a wonderful trip and I have many memories that will last a lifetime.

Richard, our safari went off without any glitches and like a well-oiled machine. A really lovely touch was the women meeting us at Maun airport, and our trip to Victoria Falls with a wheelchair provided. Excellent service and a wonderful trip! Thank you.

In one word – fantastic! Had an outstanding time. Both camps (PomPom and Gunn’s Camp) were equally great in their own way.Would like to go back to the Delta in 2 or 3 months when the water levels are a little higher, although I can’t imagine I could have a better time! Maybe just do PomPom though versus the two. Take a long weekend.
The best part – no cell service, no wifi, and no internet! For someone who spends most of his working day/life on one of the three it was like heaven.
I’d love to do Victoria Falls next, and may want to look at Chobe as well. Maybe not during the same trip but we can discuss.
Thanks again Richard!

Hi Richard,We had a truly amazing time! It exceeded all our expectations. The main factor was the knowlege and experience of our guide, Option, who was good on birds, plants, ecology and animal behaviour, etc. The support staff, cooks, etc were also very good, as was the voluminous food, which was bushveld five star.
The camps were generally very good and comfortable. The toilets in Duncan’s Camp were a bit of a challenge! Hyaena Pan was amazing, especially the elephant viewing. Gcadikwe Island and the Okavango Delta was brilliant, and our stay in Moremi was full of excitement (lion and hippo in camp), with great game viewing.
Some minor niggles (some logistical problems with the booze supply), but really an amazing and well planned itinerary!
Many thanks!

Thanks to your careful planning and good advice, our Canadian family and our relatives in Hout Bay had a wonderful adventure travelling through Namibia and Botswana.Camping was a great choice for 13 people, particularly the children. The camp sites were great and the lodges a delightful bonus.
We particularly enjoyed Hyena Pan. Barbara and Bruce were a pleasure and looked after our group in a friendly, relaxed manner.
The dunes of Namibia were awesome as well as all the animals, birds and people we met along the way. Exceptional!
I would highly recommend this type of holiday for families

Dear Richard, thank you for your assistance with our trip! We had a fantastic time and everything went off without a hitch. It was a real adventure to move across Namibia and Botswana with 13 people covering 3000 kms. Having you plan/book our trip and be a sounding board took a weight off our shoulders. Thanks also for making the time to visit us at home before we embarked on our journey.
For many of our family it was their first time in Africa and they were also worried about traveling with young children. You were right, camping was huge fun, we prepared wonderful meals and the children were fully occupied. The nights we spent at lodges were superb and a welcome treat. Hyena Pan tented camp had more elephants than we could count!
Thanks for everything and we will be sure to contact you for upcoming adventures! We are still processing the beautiful sights and sounds. It was unforgettable!

Our tour was very well organised, and we saw a lot every day, but never too much. This was our second tour with Richard and it was as pleasant as the first one. Always in a good mood, friendly, punctual and patient with all of us, he is not only an expert on wildlife, but knows South Africa like the back of his hand. All in all we would like to say thank you for an unforgettable time in South Africa!
