Richard White founded Made in Africa Tours & Safaris after more than two decades working across Southern Africa’s leading wilderness regions. Born and raised in South Africa, he has spent the majority of his professional life in the African bush, developing an in-depth understanding of Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa and neighbouring destinations.

Made in Africa Tours & Safaris focuses on Southern Africa and knows it thoroughly. Rather than selling the entire continent, we concentrate on places where local knowledge, seasonal judgement and long-standing relationships materially affect the quality of the experience.

Each itinerary is structured individually. Camp selection is based on guiding strength, location and seasonal wildlife patterns, rather than affiliation with a single lodge group. Routing between remote airstrips, charter timing and cross-border logistics are considered from the outset, not added later.

We are deliberately independent and personally accountable. From first enquiry through to return home, clients deal directly with a specialist who understands their itinerary in detail.
